Dan Khazaei

Segmentation & Annotation Lead

Dan Khazaei serves as Segmentation and Annotation Lead, based at Portland State University. He manages the annotation and segmentation workflows for both the PSU Phantom Lab dataset (175 training images, 600 frames per scan) and the biometry data from 400 student eye scans. His work is critical to producing the clean, labelled training data that feeds MERIT AI's multi-stage classification, segmentation, detection, and diagnosis pipeline. Dan coordinates closely with Dr. Hadi and Moinuddin Qureshi to ensure annotation standards meet the requirements of the AI training pipeline.
